A master class by Lee Jackson, the World Champion carp fisherman, was the highlight of an agents’ hospitality day hosted by Frogmore at the Campanile Lake, Crossways, Dartford this November.
The day dawned with a torrential downpour, and only sheer dedication kept Lee and his party of stalwarts at their rods until midday, when the weather broke and a watery rainbow served as an omen of good things to come.
Within minutes Frogmore’s office agent Henry Wyld of Knight Frank landed a lively 12lb carp, and all gloom was chased away in a celebratory lunch at the nearby Wharf Inn.
Lee generously waived his attendance fee and donated it as a contribution to Frogmore’s chosen charity – the Willow Foundation. The charity was set up by Bob Wilson, the ex-Arsenal goalkeeper in aid of seriously ill 16-40-year-olds throughout the UK.
A first prize of a signed copy of Lee’s book ‘Carp Clinic’ was awarded to Henry Wyld, and a booby prize of a child’s magnetic fishing game was awarded to James Shillabeer of Capita for failing to get a bite, despite having the unfair advantage of fishing with two rods!
Frogmore are the developers of three schemes on Crossways Business Park: Lakeside, a prestigious office complex; Waterside Court, stylish courtyard offices for SMEs, and Schooner Park, a scheme of modern production/warehouse units.
